AEGAN TAMIL MOVIE REVIEW FIRST ON NET

Aegan is a remake of Farah Khan's Main Hoon Na. It is a useless movie for Ajith, after the class hit Billa.

The story : Siva (Ajith), a daredevil cop, on a mission as a student to save and protect Pooja(Piya) who is the daughter of Ramprasad (Devan) who turned as approver against Chinnappa (Suman ) and later lost the belief on Cops and escaped from them. Ram is hiding somewhere in Ooty where his daughter Piaa is studying in a co-ed college. Shiva’s new assignment is to go undercover as a student to the college to protect Priya and also a lead to her father’s whereabouts. Shiva joins the college where you have a funny principal (Jayaram) and a peon (Sathyan) and host of students including Priya’s lover Narain (Navdeep), who turns out to be our hero’s foster brother!

Ajith is not at all looking good, and he is back with his tummies again. Suman is irritating to the core. Jayaram as a funny principal, I didnt expect such a kind of very bad role for the good actor. In fact this movie is a 100% copy of Main Hoon Na, but there were some good performance from the characters like Zayed Khan, Susmitha, Amrita and Sunil, in the original. Aegen is a big let down here. On top of it, very bad direction, except some dance sequences, debundant director, Raju sundaram fails miserably. I think he can stop saying "Start .. Camera.. Action" for some time.

The songs of AR Rahman are shot pathetically with some shoddy graphics like bombs, fish, butterflies, flying witches, birds (SFX team of Ocher Studios) inserted in all the songs! Even the much hyped Taxi Taxi.. song falls flat.

Synopsis: Its about Durai (Arjun) a do-gooder farmer also a social worker being framed in a false case of murdering his guru and an upright minister ( K.Viswanath ). But our super hero survives and manages to escape from the hands of a huge police force but suffers from amnesia and doesn't remember anything about who he is or was. He is now Raja (Arjun) an assistant of Ambi (Vivek) a cook at marriages and runs a hotel. Raja spends most of the time in the first half trying to remember who he is and what happened to him as memories start haunting him in his dreams.
